Biographical Films

Every life holds a great story.
Few get a great storyteller.

Each film is built on an in-person, in-depth interview with an acclaimed author or journalist who knows how to explore the stories and themes of a life; not just what someone accomplished, but what shaped them, what they learned, and what they want future generations to understand.

How It Works

From the first conversation to the finished film

01

Getting started

  • Fill out a brief application

  • Chat in person with a member of our team

  • We’ll review every application and reach out to talk through your story.

  • Once accepted, we’ll arrange a call or face-to-face meeting with your biographer and begin gathering photos and videos.

Step 1: Get Started
Step 2: The Interview

02

The interview

  • Your biographer will arrange a pre-interview to learn more about your story.

  • The biographer and cinematographer will meet you for an unhurried, detailed interview in your home or office.

  • Expect to devote a half-day for the set-up and interview.

  • Our crew supplies the camera, lighting and sound equipment. No studio required.

  • We want to hear more than the big milestones and favorite anecdotes. Our interviewers are experts at finding great stories and digging for revealing details. Be prepared to dive deep and uncover patterns in your life story that you’ve never explored.

03

Your film

  • Your biographer and cinematographer will edit and produce the film, weaving in your family photos and home videos.

  • Our researchers will search for archival photos, public records, and artifacts to enhance your story.

  • You’ll get final approval of the content and ownership of the finished product.

  • We’ll send you the finished film in an easily accessible format — on a private page you can share with your family and friends and download for safe keeping.
